Six traveller types

Tourists

Leisure travel, holiday visits, sightseeing in Singapore. The most common use case. Solo or with companions.

Business travellers

Conferences, meetings, short-term business trips. Often last-minute filings inside the 72 hour window.

Family groups

Travelling with spouse, children, or extended family. Up to 10 travellers in one application, with group discount.

Transit travellers

Stopover travellers who exit Changi airside to visit the city or stay overnight before continuing. SGAC required for landside transit.

Returning citizens & PRs

Singapore citizens and permanent residents need an SGAC for every re-entry, even after a short trip across the Causeway.

Frequent travellers

Business commuters and regional flyers entering Singapore multiple times a month. Each entry needs its own SGAC, we make repeat filings fast.

Tourists and short-stay visitors

The most common SGAC user. Whether you're flying in for a weekend at Marina Bay, a family holiday, or a wellness retreat, the SGAC is mandatory for entry and we file it for you.

What we do for tourists:

  • Take your trip details and file the SGAC inside ICA's 72 hour window, even if you submit your details to us weeks ahead
  • Review your form for the common typos that delay or reject submissions (passport name spelling, accommodation address, dates)
  • Email you the official approval as soon as ICA issues it
  • Group discounts if you're booking for 2 or more travellers in the same trip

Best for: first-time visitors who want a hassle-free filing, and repeat visitors who'd rather hand off the paperwork than navigate ICA's portal each trip.

Business travellers

Business travellers are often filing inside the 72 hour window because business trips get scheduled at the last minute. We handle the speed-critical submissions cleanly.

What we do for business travellers:

  • File quickly, submissions inside the 72 hour window are processed and sent to ICA on the same day
  • Handle the document review so you can focus on prep for your meeting, not paperwork
  • Send the approval to your email immediately when ICA issues it, most travellers see it within hours
  • Support frequent business filers with ready repeat-filing flows (your details aren't re-keyed every trip)

Best for: business travellers on tight schedules who can't risk a same-day or next-day border surprise, and frequent flyers who'd rather not navigate ICA's portal repeatedly.

Family groups

Travelling with family is one of the trickiest SGAC patterns through ICA's free portal. Each traveller needs their own submission, and a typo in any one delays the whole group. SGAC Online handles families in one application.

What we do for families:

  • One submission for up to 10 travellers, primary contact handles the form for everyone
  • Group discount applies automatically: 15% off per traveller for 2-5, 20% off per traveller for 6-10
  • Children, infants, and adults all in one transaction, children need their own SGAC but you fill it on their behalf
  • Single email with all approvals when ICA issues them

Best for: families of 3+ travelling together. The group discount alone often pays for the convenience compared to filing each separately.

Transit travellers and stopovers

Singapore is one of the most popular stopover points in the world. If you're flying through Changi on the way to Australia, Europe, or elsewhere, and you'll exit airside (even for a few hours in the city or for an on-arrival hotel), you need an SGAC.

What we do for transit travellers:

  • Quick filing for stopover passengers who plan to exit airside
  • Clear guidance on the airside-vs-landside distinction (only landside needs an SGAC)
  • Last-minute filings if your stopover plans change after you've already booked the flights
  • Same flat fee, USD 30, whether you're stopping for 4 hours or 4 days

Best for: passengers on long-haul Singapore stopovers (especially Australia-to-Europe routes), and travellers using Singapore as a regional connection hub.

Returning Singapore citizens and Permanent Residents

A lot of returning citizens and PRs assume they don't need an SGAC because they live in Singapore. That's wrong. Singapore citizens and PRs need an SGAC for every re-entry, even after a quick trip across the Causeway to Johor Bahru.

What we do for citizens and PRs:

  • Same simple filing as any other traveller, your citizenship status doesn't change the SGAC process
  • Group discount applies if you're filing for family members travelling with you
  • Faster repeat-filing if you cross frequently (e.g. weekly trips to Malaysia)
  • Handles the edge case of dual citizenship cleanly, file with whichever passport you'll present at the border

Best for: citizens and PRs who travel internationally regularly, whether for business, family visits to Malaysia/Indonesia, or holidays further afield.

Frequent travellers

If you enter Singapore multiple times a month, for business, regional commuting, family obligations, you're filing the SGAC repeatedly. Our service is built for this pattern.

What we do for frequent travellers:

  • Repeat-filing flows that don't make you re-enter passport details every trip
  • Email reminders before each trip if you tell us your upcoming dates
  • Group filing if you're travelling with the same colleagues each time
  • Same flat fee per filing, no monthly subscriptions or volume contracts

Best for: business commuters who fly Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok, Hong Kong, or Jakarta into Singapore weekly, and regional sales/operations staff who criss-cross Asia.

Who SGAC Online ISN'T for

Honesty matters. SGAC Online is a paid service. If your situation is one of the following, we may not be the right fit:

  • If you're highly comfortable navigating government portals and don't need a service layer, ICA's official portal is free, apply directly there if you prefer
  • If you're a diplomat or crew member on duty, the SGAC doesn't apply to you (see /special-cases)
  • If you're a tour operator filing 50+ applications per month for unrelated travellers, contact us about a B2B arrangement, the consumer-facing flow isn't optimised for that scale
  • If you only need help with a Singapore visa (not the SGAC), the visa is a separate process, see /singapore-visa for guidance, and apply through your country's authorised channel
