If your details are handy
You don't need much. The SGAC is a short form, and most travellers can complete it in five minutes if they have these things ready.
What you need to have ready
- Your passport (valid for at least 6 months from your arrival date)
- Your travel dates (arrival into Singapore, departure from Singapore)
- How you're arriving (flight number, vehicle plate, or cruise ship name)
- Where you'll stay in Singapore (hotel name and address, or private residential address)
- Your contact information (email and phone)
That's it. No supporting documents are required to file the SGAC itself.
Passport details
Your passport needs to be:
- Valid for at least 6 months from your Singapore arrival date
- Machine-readable (almost all modern passports are)
- The same passport you'll travel on
You'll enter the passport number, country of issue, expiry date, full name (matching the passport spelling exactly), date of birth, and nationality.
If your name on the form doesn't match your passport, ICA may flag your submission. Even small differences like a missing middle name or a different transliteration can cause problems.
Travel dates and details
ICA needs:
- Arrival date in Singapore (the date you cross the border)
- Departure date from Singapore (when you leave)
- Mode of arrival: air, land, or sea
- Carrier or vessel: flight number for air, vehicle plate for land, ship name for sea
Don't have your departure flight booked yet? You can submit with an estimate, but it has to be a real intended date. ICA spot-checks for inconsistencies.
For round-trip travellers, the dates are usually clear. For travellers continuing onward (Singapore to Bali, for example), the departure date is when you leave Singapore, not when you reach your final destination.
Where you'll stay
You'll need either:
- The name and address of your hotel, or
- The full residential address where you'll stay (a friend's place, an Airbnb, a relative's home, etc.)
If you're staying in multiple places, list the first one. ICA understands that itineraries change.
Contact information
A working email address (for the approval to land in your inbox) and a phone number (international format, starting with +). Make sure your email is correct. Approval delivery happens entirely by email.
Optional uploads that speed things up
Not required, but uploading these on our service helps us review faster and catch potential issues:
- Hotel booking confirmation (PDF or screenshot)
- Inbound and outbound flight or transport ticket (PDF or screenshot)
We don't share these with ICA. They're just for our internal review, so we can flag obvious mismatches before submitting.
What you do NOT need
- A visa as a separate upload (see [SGAC vs visa](/sgac-vs-visa) for the full picture)
- Proof of accommodation as an attached document (just the address)
- Proof of funds
- A return ticket as a document (just the date)
- Travel insurance
- A health declaration upload (the SGAC includes the health questions)
If a service or website asks you to upload these for the SGAC itself, they're probably a scam. ICA doesn't require them.
Group submissions
Travelling with family or colleagues? You'll need the same set of information for each traveller, plus you can designate one person as the primary contact whose email receives all the approvals. SGAC Online supports up to 10 travellers per group submission, with group pricing that gives you a discount for 2 or more.
For each additional traveller, you'll need their passport details, name as on passport, and date of birth. You can mark "same address as primary applicant" to skip re-entering the accommodation for everyone in the group.
